"I was born into a world of artistry."
Growing up in the Cape Flats, I watched my grandmother — a masterful seamstress — and my mother, who dedicated over 40 years of her life to the fashion industry, create beauty with their hands every single day. That world shaped me.
At 17, I stepped into the film industry, working on sets and attending fashion events, absorbing every detail of design and craftsmanship I could. I started creating pieces for those occasions, and with every compliment received, something became clear: designing wedding gowns was my calling.
In 2017, I took a leap of faith and launched Saarahjasmin Couture — a brand rooted in passion, precision, and the belief that every bride deserves a gown that is entirely, beautifully hers.
Today, from our studio in Goodwood, Cape Town, we handcraft bespoke bridal gowns for women across South Africa and the world. Every piece is romantic, sophisticated, and made to last a lifetime — because your wedding dress should be as extraordinary as the love it celebrates.

Since founding her couture house in 2017, she has dedicated herself to one mission: creating gowns that make brides feel extraordinary — not because of what the dress costs, but because of what it means.
